My work schedule is really completely out of whack with the constant travelling to and fro to work, especially since my work place is 20+ km from where I live, and travelling out of city almost every alternate day. I’m back, with a failed hunt to boot. But there are still two good news for you all.

First, is that after going through all the 47 Editor Applications (sadly none for TLCs) we finally were zero in on an Editor, Livewidsmile. A vibrant lady with a penchant for mischief. Ans only recently started exploring the community and wanted to extend her hand and her editing services to the community. So please put your hands together in helping her get accustomed to this.

Once again I am writing about the delay in releasing the chapters.

The reason being, I am once again being transferred due to my work on short notice. Yeah, I know I should quit my job….. but what can I say, it pays my bills 😉
I will once again have to hunt for an apartment in a new city so for the time being I have put the translations on hold till I find a room and a net connection. I should be able to get a room in a few days to a week at max. Shouldn’t take more than that.
I’ve also got a few applications for the position of editor and their responses are currently under review. Me or someone from the team will get back to the selectèd candidates in a few days.

See you all once I find a new place to settle in.

P.S. After much thinking over the past couple of days, I have decided that I need more TLCs and Editors, since the current ones are simply too moody, ironic considering they are my siblings. So, if anyone is interested in working with us, then please drop a mail to us at [email protected] with the subject as “Applying for [Editor/TLC]” depending on what you are applying for.

People applying for the Editor position will be given a short passage as a small test to look at their grammar skills. You will have to edit the passage and also highlight the things you have edited. It would include spelling mistakes, grammatical mistakes and at sometimes even changing the complete sentence to get the best meaning.

People applying for the TLC position should be good at Chinese or should at least be able to read Chinese without much difficulty. Their main job will be to ensure that what I translate does not deviate from what it was originally. Basic grammar sense would also be taken into consideration but is not necessary as long as you are able to convey your idea/thoughts across. A short passage will also be given to them with some intentional translation mistakes which will have to be corrected.

Once selected, you will be expected to be regular or at least as regular as I am with the work. I usually keep a leeway of 3-4 chapter from the current released one so that the Editors and TLCs can have enough time to work on the chapters. As for any other details, we can discuss it over once selected.
